The motto of this year's carnival season is: "800 years - a foolish fairy tale". The Beckum Püttspatzen have also taken the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney to heart. So last summer, at a barbecue party - as they do every year - the Püttspatzen float builders got together, celebrated and came up with ideas for what kind of float could be built. The decision was quickly made in favour of Dagobert Duck. Here you can see the process of this year's float. 

We at Duni were allowed to visit the Beckumer Püttspatzen in mid-January 2024 and take a look at the process of building the float. They even made a small contribution. A flower was not only produced by Duni, but also plucked by Duni itself and attached to the float. A great honour.

One of the answers to the question about the Beckumer Püttspatzen's favourite float was the "Dinosaur". This flower wagon was the largest or rather the longest that the wagon builders had ever built. Even the head protruded far beyond the wagon, namely over the trekker that pulled the wagon. The tail of the dinosaur then extended another 6 metres beyond the back of the wagon. All in all, the wagon had a total length of around 16 to 17 metres - from the tip of the head to the tip of the tail.

Accordingly, most of the Duni napkins were needed for this float, which were plucked into flowers before decorating the impressive steel structure. If that's not a WOW moment!
